In the Swing of Things

love this flirty black and white striped swing dress that on closer view actually has a very decorative dotted pattern along with alternating solid white stripes...
would I wear black flip flops with this dress? You bet! The thin spaghetti straps and the thongs are a match...
this white caged gladiator bootie sandal...
or these red ballet flats would look really cute with the flirty dress!
and this skinny red belt to go with the red ballet flats...
definitely accessorized with a black enamel and rhinestone floral necklace like this!
and these black clover earrings...
perhaps topped off with this black and white iris kimono. Yup, it's a match!

and here's Jerry Lewis as Buddy Love with That Old Black Magic...
from the Nutty Professor -- just love it!

Craving: culottes

 even the shoes are cute!
 cute carnations...
a lot like ticking material...
the back of the waistband has elastic and they look quite comfy...
and looks totally like a skirt that one would wear in the Mediterranean!

Great Reads: The Book of Lost Fragrances by M. J. Rose

a great historical fiction for all who love Egyptology, China / Tibet and Reincarnation as well as perfumes or perfume making in France. I think I should have been a perfumer...
the book talked so much about perfume formulation and French perfumeries that I'm intrigued by this French Violette Eau de Cologne by Laboratoires Cadentia / Cadentia Laboratories in Provence -- Aubagne, near Marseille, to be precise. It's supposed to have violet and iris notes along with a citrus. Looks delicious!
and speaking of delicious, this violet liqueur by Gilbert Miclo looks devine!
and on my Wish List is Mitsouko by Guerlain, made at the beginning of the 20th Century.

Cute Stuff: Haiku Kyoto Flower

you really can't beat Avon's Haiku Kyoto Flower for it's awesome packaging -- love the painted cherry blossom flowers... (even though it doesn't smell like cherry blossoms -- the top note is "peony")
in fact the entire collection is gorgeous!
even the box is cute! So, as they say, it's all about the packaging...

Gorgeous coral red t shirt / top!

what a gorgeous deep coral / carmine red tee -- this would look great with charcoal grey, black and white, blue and white and an autumnal colour palette to include brown, taupe, saffron and oxblood. Would look awesome with animal prints like black and white zebra and natural leopard as well...
Coral pink leopard scarf
Mint and coral floral scarf
and I wanna team the quite low scoop neck with this strappy crisscross red bralette...
simple scooped back...
perhaps topped off with this coral jacquard kimono...
Looking for a matching coral orangey red lipstick, I came across a Wet n Wild lippy called What's Up Doc?, which is a semi-opaque lipstick so it changes a little based on your natural lip colour...
even this little coral lace top would go well with the lipstick...
and I would wear these rose gold and coral floral sandals...
these coral / ginger mules...
and these coral sandals aren't bad either...
of course, this coral red roses necklace...

Crushing: saffron knit tops

another knit top that could be worn in summer...
and it turned out to be just a little bit brighter...

Appreciating: Burnt Orange

this pretty rust / burnt orange open knit could easily be worn on a cooler summer day / evening...
this amber floral necklace...
love this burnt orange tulip skirt...
makes me think of a field of flaming saffron orange tulips... Gorgeous!

Crushing: rust / terracotta jeans

I just can't decide if these jeans are a deep coral, rust or terracotta...
but they sure make me want to get a sultry carmine red lipstick to match them! ;-D
and they turned out to be an earthy clay tone...
wondering of this amber floral necklace would work well...
and I see it with this tribal duster in Persian carpet print...
or this rusty batik shirt...
on top of this cayenne tee...
but this coral red roses necklace should team well...
 these gingery coral mules...
for on-off comfort...

Style Inspo: a gorgeous graphic I call Rusty Planet...
beautiful but hopefully not too devastating...
