Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 does tribute to My Fair Lady?

Fashionistas, Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 Valentine’s Day poster girl wore a luscious ruby red dress festooned with flowers around the yoke, carrying a long-stem deep red rose, accessorizing with a black fur stole and that large, wide brimmed fur hat, Eliza Doolittle style, right out of My Fair Lady!

In fact most of the Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 collection features retro styles right out of the late 1920’s and 1930’s rather than the turn-of-the-century Edwardian style of Eliza Doolittle, but nevertheless topped off by the larger-than-life wide-brimmed hats as Audrey Hepburn as Eliza might have worn, all in the spirit of vintage fashions.
