Crushing: ivory and charcoal plaid coat

loving just how chic this ivory and charcoal plaid looks!
this charcoal grey cowl neck dress...
to be teamed with these Superga grey hightops / high top sneakers...

Loving: cute sweaters

just in time for St. Valentine's Day - hot pink hearts against a black background!
and how about this striking red and white sweater? Just like strawberries and cream...
 can't go wrong with leopard!
 fair isle cuteness!
navy and white polka dots - playful and chic!
can't ignore the funk factor of these black patches against the silver grey...

On-trend: V-neck cable knit sweaters

people are calling these varsity or college sweaters but they remind me of tennis or cricket jumpers!
Cream / ivory knit with black stripes would be the most versatile but black with white would be great too...
Wow, the black and white tennis sweater looks incredibly chic!
some of the newer sweaters don't have the striped detailing on the back - this one does.
also love it in the marled grey...

Even more magenta madness!

Love the oversized cocoon shape of this collarless coat...
A gorgeous orchid pink coat that must be worn with matching lipstick! Loving the jewel neck...
and it would look cute with this purple jasper...
these Miista purple holographic shoes...

Nothin' but blue skies...

loving the sublime sky blue vibe of this slimline coat with broad 70's style lapels...
and this LA Colors COLOR CRAZE in Gloomy 617 nail polish...

and here's a little somethin' sublime from Glenn Miller - Blue Skies
very cool...

Crushing: sleek houndstooth trench

I am totally crushing on houndstooth these days. Looking at my wardrobe, I realized that I have a few pieces already, though in very fine or tiny houndstooth.  I'm looking for more of an impact so the pattern needs to be larger but not necessarily comical or cartoonish. And of course, I'm going towards chic as well as classical trendy looks.
this chic trench coat, as seen on the fashion model, is more of a slimline overcoat as it has no belt, shoulder epaulets or cuff straps with buckles. And it certainly foots the bill...
I love how it's slightly ruched on the back and has a waistline. The buttons on the cuffs are nice too. So very chic!

Loving: peacoats

love the crisp winter white version - love the epaulets on this pea coat
navy is so nautical - makes me want to go to the seaside!
hunter green is very traditional and sports uniform-ish, but great with leopard or plaid...
this is undoubtedly plaid, but there are sections of houndstooth
and this gorgeous magenta peacoat that is more like a very deep orchid colour - all great!

Pretty: robin's egg blue rose sweater

the fuchsia pink roses are a strong contrast to the robin's egg blue of the background!

Loving: houndstooth coats

just a simple, uncomplicated, belted houndstooth coat with turned up cuffs and a matching belt
a lot of darting in the back, so it appears to be quite fitted

Cuff title cardigans rule!

can't decide between the black and silvery grey or the grey and ivory but...
they're from Old Navy and sold out!

Loving: Greek key pattern knits

 love the addition of oxblood
beige and black - basic but chic
a shawl collar cardi like the one worn in film The Big Lebowski
very Starsky and Hutch-ish! And yet these robes remind me of Marilyn Monroe's self-tie Mexican beachy robe cardigan...
 see what I mean?
pretty cuddly looking and perfect for the beach!
and a look close-up view of the cardigan...
a cardi definitely made for fun times...

Better than a postcard!

well at least Sydney is partially emblazoned on the front...
and if that doesn't speak Oz with kangaroos hopping about...

name-dropping cardi says it all ~ Sydney ~ Cairns ~ Ayers Rock ~ Melbourne ~ Darwin and "surfers" (think of all the coastline in Oz, surfing's a popular pastime!) as well an Aussie expression "bonza," akin to other colourful Australian expressions such as "you beaut!, " "beauty mate!" and "ripper!," otherwise "great!"and the ubiquitous Aussie greeting "G'day mate!"
even comes in a jumper!
and this one, a little more colourful and with koalas, even says Perth WA
Emaroo Hysport even used to make hoodies!
this one has all the right indigenous critters: roos, wallabies, koalas... (is that a platypus?) but no place names
with a few architectural landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge, this one does include a few city names. Extremely colourful!
and here's Men at Work with Land Down Under...
