Found: peacock blue velvet jacket

Found this really cute peacock blue (or is it turquoise or teal?) velvet jacket for $4 earlier this year. Another good point is that it stretches quite a bit so you don't feel all that restricted in it. Like the unusual peplum detailing.
goes pretty well with these teal floral leggings...
and these Chrysocolla beads...
this teal rose floral choker necklace...
this daisy print skirt...
These Juju jelly fisherman sandals...
and this seafoam blue green fur jacket would go with the daisy print skirt...
this cute tiger t-shirt with the turquoise eyes!
these retro cool mint marble sunglasses...
Teal and Tangerine sunglasses
Or these teal sunglasses
these sexy teal jeans...
and even this photo print floral top, which I was trying so hard to source then realized I already had one from perhaps a dozen years ago! So yes, it's pretty awesome to shop your own closet.

Was Lena Dunham’s Emmy gown a hit or a miss?

Blush pink find: pink moto jackets

so I found several options for a blush pink or nude biker / moto jacket...

this one looks more like a pale eggshell pink
the same jacket above but a little less saturated in color, with just a hint of pink like cake icing...
and this one like a true nude or blush pink...
got a chance to take a pic of the actual jacket in "mauve" though it's more nude in person - too saturated!
wondering if this blush pink moto jacket is indeed as luscious in reality...
Or is it more like this?  One thing's for certain - blush or pale pink works well as a neutral!

I've also decided that I preferred the blush pink to be on the paler side, like an eggshell pink or pale pink cake icing rather than a mauve.

Burgundy red moto jackets should be teamed with leopard!

when I see this burgundy red moto or biker jacket, I can just see it being teamed with leopard... Good idea?
and that means a thin, slinky top underneath...
perhaps a leopard skirt or other bottoms of your choice such as leopard skinny jeans. Hey even a leopard scarf would work!
these burgundy oxfords / oxford shoes...
and these retro cool cranberry red sunglasses...

Dreamtime rainbow colors Coogi cardigan

the front of this Australian made Coogi cardi is quite colorful...
but the back is just a little more colorful!

The organic, undulating shapes of this Aussie cardi and other Coogi knits reminds me of art studies with Australian flora, such as gum tree / eucalyptus leaves and gumnuts that I did while in primary and high schools in Sydney. While many Americans associate these sweaters and cardigans with Bill Cosby, I find them very native Australian, and in particular Aboriginal Dreamtime.
The above cardi also reminds me of Australian designer Jenny Kee and her very colourful knits...
Jenny Kee's Flamingo Park label...
and here is Jenny Kee with Advanced Style...
loving those eyeglasses on Jenny Kee as well, and the backdrop!
these red cateye eyeglasses are then a must-have for the complete look...
or even these...
and definitely these bold frame cranberry red sunglasses...
Jenny Kee, definitely a style icon!

And here's Sherbet with Child's Play

Purring for leopard rain booties

these leopard rain boots were bought at a local retail chain for $10 last winter - no rain needed - just don a pair of cotton socks to prevent steaming over during the hot, humid rainy weather. Purrrrr...

Is turquoise fur a little too wild?

I recently saw this pic of Sarah Jessica Parker looking amazing in her silky, rather bright turquoise blue fur coat, teaming the look with unusual coral pumps. By the way are those jelly shoes? I think I can see her toes through them!
as it's available online...
But somehow when I see robin's eggshell blue, I'm tempted to team it with pink and red roses in a shabby chic sort of way...
See what I mean? Maybe one could add a bit of cowgirl shabby chic with such a turquoise fur by donning a pair of cowboy boots, adding some pretty roses perhaps in the way of a scarf and and some light blue denim. I might even throw in a vintage 1980's bolo tie!
or perhaps with these floral socks and deep red shoes...
this pink roses chocker necklace...
maybe even these Martens boots...
maybe something like this rosy pink scarf...
this mint, pink and white roses necklace...
these mint marble sunglasses...
or perhaps these oversized blue gogo sunnies...
and maybe a short hip length jacket in a Swiss blue would be more manageable and cheaper too...
how about a silvery blue one?
or this paler still seafoam blue-green fur jacket...
or maybe this one that's a little more on the teal side... Cute!

sorry, I just can't resist... found this little guy online:
Shut the front door! OMG it's Ken, as in Barbie's babe, in his fluffy turquoise fur jacket - someone's selling this item of clothing for dolls - I know!!! No, I don't think the Ken doll is included...
