Lilac pink sofa slipcovers as inspiration for DIY project

I was looking for a Rit fuchsia dye DIY project online and came across this sofa...

Loving the pink, green and white combo, but adore these tasty lilac pink slipcovers apparently created using Rit fuchsia dye! And they remind me of a pink eyelet fabric tiered skirt I got for my 16th birthday and wore it a lot when 17. The cushions are about the right shade of pink. I feel a DIY coming on...

and I came across this gorgeous lilac eyelet skirt for added inspiration...

As for the DIY skirt dying project, I found this ankle length white eyelet tiered skirt...
I love the lenghth but if the waist and hips are too tight, but I will probably shorten to calf length...
I also like the crochet lace in between the tiers, but I'm not sure what material it's made from and how it will take dye compared to the rest of the skirt...
The label says the base is 100% cotton so the dye should take well but the embroidery is Rayon so I'm not sure how the dying will turn out. I might end up with some variations in colour. Hopefully it would just add some texture to the overall look. Stay tuned...

Not Another Rework: my little sakura top

Okay, so here is a little camisole top I created out of the sakura cherry blossom dress I bought that turned out to be at least ten inches too tight in the chest... I extended the back using a spotted red and white fabric panel...
and added red pom pom trim for added cuteness...
Earlier on I had created this calf length pencil skirt by turning the dress upside-down.
and here is the sakura cherry blossom dress as it originally was...

Flamingos on my mind

Yes, I've got pink enamel flamingos on my mind...
and this little hot pink flamingo brooch has such a vintage feel to it...
wish it had matching earrings...
and then there's this flamingo brooch with a bit of bling...
found this mint green shirt with pink flamingos that would team well...
it's supposed to be a mint green background but it seems pretty light...
in this pic the mint green is more obvious...

XS Guatemalan candystripe skirt gets reworked

this was an Extra Small wrap-around skirt from Guatemala bought at CostPlus or Pier1Imports, which was reworked so that I can wear it some twenty years later...
which can be teamed with this cute bubblegum pink peasant top with Swiss dots and embroidery...
these pink heart sunglasses...
and these fuchsia pink thong sandals...
so that the outfit isn't too matchy-matchy, I would just add a neutral bag like this cute cognac bag with lace edges and cutouts...

Caftan cutie

loving the easy-breezy feel of this Indian floral block print kaftan...
and I would team it with this little copper flowers necklace...
just about long enough to be worn as a dress or a tunic...
to be teamed effortlessly with these cobalt lens tortoise frame sunglasses...
And these oversized cobalt frame sunglasses...
and these blue sandals...

Loving Lagenlook!

Totally loving Lagenlook these days, and this espresso and latte brown layered dress...
 foots the bill...
maybe to be teamed with these ivory white linen pants...
nice and baggy for this searing heat...
or even these beige linen pants...
this coffee duster coat...
khaki cateye sunglasses...

and I would team it with a chiffon leopard scarf wrapped around the neck a couple of times or go for a long, lean look by tossing it casually in a long waterfall...
this Wet n Wild lipstick in Cashmere...
and these chukka style leopard high-top sneakers
or these criss-cross beige sandals...
these beige crisscross sandals...

and this fringed faux buckskin shoulderbag...
and maybe even this black gauze vest for extra layering on a cooler day...
in shades of taupe / brown / black, this lady definitely has the right idea!
even this mocha draped jumpsuit / romper would layer well...
would the romper be a little more practical in black?
Could be topped with any waterfall cardi!
and teamed with black peeptoe booties...
alternately, I would sweeten things up a little and add this coconut ice pink pashmina...
these pink converse sneakers...
or bubblegum pink high tops...
and maybe this neon pink bag... Similarly, mint green, yellow, coral and other colours could accessorize the brown dress to add some brightness and interest...
or warm it up a little with this blush pink messenger bag...
this pink, coral and brown leopard print chiffon scarf...
and these fuchsia pink tortoiseshell sunglasses...
