Enchanted April Fin de Ciecle Dresses

Remember that early 1990's movie "Enchanted April?" It's hard to find images from the movie, especially of the gorgeous Fin de Ciecle dresses that they wore in shades of apricot!
I came across this gorgeous apricot hued dress that has those Arte Nouveau scrolly designs and I know I won't find much opportunity to wear such a classical costumy looking piece but I've got 30 days to think about it...
I love the shimmery fabric and the swirls...

I wanna team it with this copper floral choker necklace that has a lot of patina...

this black and white one has far more embroidery and looks very Edwardian...gorgeous...these dresses can be worn poufed out or straight down(buttons underneath suspended from ribbons that allow the poufing up of the material!)
gorgeous...whoever thought of these flowy dresses must be very romantic at heart...
so, are they keepers or not? Yes!
and this little black floral necklace would work well too!
And how about this Art Nouveau horned goddess ring?
very earthy and most unusual...alas, it got away...
way too tight on top, they got converted to skirts, like this Lapis blue fin de ciecle skirt -- so very "British Raj" and Indian in design!
definitely these slate blue jelly sandals
right away, I wanna team it with this medium blue denim utility shirt...

or a darker denim shirt...
this distressed medium blue denim jacket...
or this dark deep indigo blue denim jacket...
lapis blue linen tee...
to be teamed with this blue glitter knit top...
or this cobalt glitter knit top...
and even with a dark denim shirt...
and this blue crochet flat...
and this green dress that can be worn as a long skirt...
This emerald green pointelle cardigan...
green duffel coat
Quilted emerald green bag
Retro round green frame eyeglasses
teamed with a simple black tee...
an emerald green tee...
or this black lace trim tank top...
this black crochet shrug...
or this black waterfall cardi...
and black sandals...
and a simple black crossbody bag...

Orange Blossom Cologne

Enjoying summer and July is here already!!! This year is just whipping past...

I found this wonderful orange blossom water at the local Food Depot, Sanborns Orange Blossom Cologne, made in Mexico...just goes to show that you can find the most amazing things in the least likely of places!

it also made me want to sport these lime green sandals I got for around $2 at Kohls with their $10 giftcard...Kohl's I love your $10 giftcards... :-) thank you... anyway, they are my idea of "going green" ;-}

and cook this delicious Ancho Fennel Prawns with Polenta and three-bean cucumber salad(recipes posted on my other blog Amber Cottage). I really hope you try it, I'm awefully proud it was my very own creation and that it turned out so well...

things just look yummier on this bright coral colored plate...

Funky Mules from India

My sister brought me these gorgeous leather mules, called Khussas I believe, which I have to share with you folks...
I love all the intricately tooled designs on this pair...
and this mustard pair...yummy...

thanks Sis, I'm sure I did not thank you enough for the lovely things you brought with you...

Tibetan Cowgirl

I was just eyeing this Tibetan three-piece necklace ensemble that I'd created and put an outfit together with Tibetan cowboys and cowgirls in mind...
This Tibetan cowgirl certainly knows how to make a statement with this stunning ensemble!
the Tibetan inspiration came from this ionized pendant...

I have this cowprint vest that worked so well with the cream and black floral skirt...and the pretty Tibetan jade blue-green T-shirt is an obvious match for the look...

I would also team the look with these mint jelly sandals and bangle...

Aqua mint jelly gladiator sandals
aqua mint shirt
or this pale mint green hoodie...
topped by this seafoam blue-green denim jacket...
iridescent two-toned blue green skirt
this aqua maxi skirt...
teal crushed velvet maxi skirt
Peacock blue plisse skirt
loving this jade floral dress too...
love the peacocks and peonies...
Old Navy RockStar green jeans jacket
Adidas green sneakers
these coral mules...
Orange vest
Sperry Seaport Fina mint green mules
Seafoam mules
Kolapuri sandals
Mint spacedye Skechers sneakers
Loving the very personal S for Sonya

these mint wayfarer sunglasses...
these very retro mint blue green marble sunglasses...
and for some bling...
these are really Native American bracelets and a cuff that could also be Tibetan!  The leopard print buckle bracelet is from the 1980's.
and this striking Tibetan turquoise and coral ring.
and on my Wish List, this faux Tibetan Lamb seafoam fur jacket...
but something like this cuddly pale seafoam blue green fur jacket...
WEK the World blue and green varsity jacket
Amber lens seafoam green sunglasses...
Grey lens seafoam blue green sunglasses...

And now the genuine article, some Tibetan Cowboys, who are fascinating...

I love the relevance of this pic because it's black and white with a touch of turquoise in color - how very clever!
oh, I think I might have been chanelling them...the green and the necklaces... :-)
oh, I like his carpet saddle and fedora!
