Well, you're all familiar with the traditional Gladiator sandals which are more like boots and continue up way past the ankles and close to the calves...thankfully these zip up the back!
this navy pair are so strappy and secure acrosss the ankle, that they are definitely reminiscent of gladiators... 
as are these brown pair which have that raw unfinished edge...that I want to wear with a toga!

I love the first pair. When I was growing up, my best friend's Mum had a pair almost exactly the same. I used to think they were the most hideous things in the world. Ah, how tastes change.
yes, and never throw anything away because fashions keep rotating! The best thing about the first pair is that they can also be worn with socks or tights in cooler weather.
