Crabtree & Evelyn unveils its new fragrance Himalayan
Blue, based on the fabled Himalayan Blue poppy…
Himalayan Blue fragrance was inspired by early British
explorers, with the fragrance collection taking one into the heart of the
Himalayas to trace the steps of a search for the exquisite mythical blue poppy.
In formulating this exotic new scent, Crabtree & Evelyn
aims to capture the “essence of the Himalayas” with a fresh, citrusy top note
of crisp mandarin, orange leaf, and a touch of lemon.
The heart of Himalayan Blue encompasses ginger, reflecting
the warmth of the journey, and a combination of delicate rose absolute,
Himalayan golden champaca blossoms, wildflowers, pink pepper and spices to
suggest the mesmerizing backdrop of panoramic skies, misty mountains, and
shimmering lakes.
Himalayan Blue carries a smoky base note of the smoked black
tea Lapsang Souchong, sandalwood and patchouli which are reminiscent of the
sultry seduction of the mountains, adding a leather accord to provide a subtle
reminder of creaky saddles and antique bridles that belonged to these early
explorers of the legendary Himalayas.
In addition, the body and hand therapy formulae use natural
ingredients inspired by the Himalayas to include a combination of
antioxidant-rich green tea oil, moisturizing shea butter and a conditioning
blend of ginger and champaca extracts.
Himalayan Blue is geared towards the woman who values
distinction and is characterized by an independent mind and lust for
adventure. The woman who wears
Himalayan Blue is confident and shrouded in an unmistakable allure…
By the same token the leathery and strong sandalwood notes
might make the scent appeal to men as well!
Himalayan Blue’s pearlescent white bottle features a deep
blue spherical cap, blue writing and a silvertone poppy charm with a blue
center.
Available in September 2012, the Crabtree & Evelyn

I don’t know about you, but the description on this

and a red poppy brooch because blue poppy brooches are a little thin on the ground...
