Cute Finds: quilted vests

I'm not much of a quilted vest lover but I couldn't resist noticing these cuties...
like this tres chic black and white polka dot number...
this ocelot print vest, which is actually reversible...
just like this stunning red, black and white zebra vest -- cute!

Enchanted by vintage velvet

I've always loved the clothes worn by the ladies in the 1990's film Enchanted April, which were mostly in shades of apricot and rust and incorporated a lot of velvet...
so I went on a hunt for similar dresses from that era and the 1920s...
love the deep tangerine tiers...
and this deep apricot three-tier dress which looks lovely with a turquoise bead belt...
this gorgeous saffron / squash coloured shift...
this beautiful saffron orange number...
 wow - gorgeous!
so very ethereal...
and this gorgeous shift with birds...

Roused by rust velvet

absolutely adore the slinkiness of this crushed rust velvet dress!

an elegant little pumpkin hued coat from the early 60's perhaps...
and the luxuriousness of this thick rust brown velvet skirt...
what a gorgeous burnt orange shade to these sassy jeans...
yet you almost expect rust velvet to be fashioned into bellbottoms!
and crushed velvet just looks awesome as boho-chic peasant blouses...
makes me want to stroke it like some precious pet... ;-D

Crushing on: saffron yellow

Totally crushing on shades of saffron, especially this deep yellowish, slightly bitter goldenrod hue that these ladies are finessing...
Isabella Rossellini in her saffron yellow gown and bee motif wrap...
like Lena Dunham in her Zac Posen gown...
Kirsten Dunst in her pretty Chloe dress...
 Saffron Burrows in Herve Leroux...
Michelle Williams in Vera Wang...
Lea Michele in this stunning strapless number...
and Mariska Hargitay in Carolina Herrera...
this stylish lady has the right idea...
And for me, this little saffron yellow / antique gold pleated cami dress by H&M. But really, what could be more perfect for summer than saffron?
and here's a saffron yellow / mustard cardigan that might go well with it...

Painted with broad brushstrokes

love this putty coloured shirt that looks like parchment with very painterly deep brown Chinese writing caligraphy and bamboo, hi-lited with olive green, which would look great with jeggings / leggings...
or these cream / ivory / off-white linen pants...
and this pretty celadon green one with black writing...
which would look great with these pistachio green linen pants...
and this is not Japanese made but it looks quite like an authentic yukata!
topped off with something like these funky prehnite nuggets...
And here's my prehnite choker

Ocean blue batik shirt

love the gradation of colour in this bamboo print batik shirt...
that is so oversized that it can be worn as a jacket... Love that back pocket!
Straight leg jeans
Retro rounded blue green sunglasses
these aqua blue tortoiseshell sunglasses...
these retro mint marble sunglasses...
these black criss cross sandals...
these blue oxford shoes if I'm feeling funky...
and these turquoise teal Chrysocolla beads may go rather well...
or this teal floral necklace...

Hot Stuff!

so I've got hot and spicy on my mind...
I love the hot chilli pepper deep coral red of this bat-wing duster cardigan...
that drapes quite nicely past the knees...
and I think it would look great with this mint and coral rose scarf...
these gingery coral mules...
these rose gold and coral floral sandals...
 this bright cayenne red tee...
this spicy hot mustard tee...
to mix it up, this bright saffron tee...
and this saffron scarf...
 perhaps this saffron camisole...
and these embroidered and beaded mules...
this saffron hued amber necklace...
maybe this coral red roses necklace...
or this amber roses necklace...
this coral bakelite bangle...
Coral bangle
Came across this unusual pearl and coral pendant. Wow! I am speechless...
