Inspired by Marilyn: silver and gold metallic pleats

I adore this stunning golden bronze metallic pleated dress by designer William Travilla that Marilyn Monroe wore in the film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes... But, personally, a pleated metallic skirt with a simple black top is about as far as I'll go for now...

I decided to go with this calf length metallic antique gold / brass skirt...

very shimmery and quite pewter in colour...

I also love this lilac / lavender and silver metallic micropleat skirt...

this bronze pleated skirt has enough metallic in it too...

though I'm on the lookout for a silver pleated dress...
