Can women wear Tabac Original for Men by Mäurer & Wirtz?

The huge 10.1 oz EDC splash bottle of Tabac Original by Maurer & Wirtz.

So the 10.1 oz of Tabac Original EDC splash finally arrived today and being a woman, I found it tipping on the masculine side, rather than the feminine side as suggested my some reviewers.  I waited for a couple of hours for this decidedly masculine cologne to "settle in" on my wrists then layered it with Tosca, also by Mäurer & Wirtz, and it's absolutely delicious!!!  More on Tabac here…

A review of Tosca cologne by 4711

There's something so "yesteryear" about Tosca and I'm not sure where I've smelt it before but it seems that I might've smelt it on someone during my childhood as there's no adult memory of it. So, you could say it’s quite unforgettable.  At first blush this fragrance seemed a bit too herbal or medicinal, yes, manly, like something you might smell on an old-fashioned gent. But then it dried down to the most delightful scent, perhaps a bit like 4711 Eau de Cologne, only more intense and a bit sweeter. The next day I tried it on again and absolutely fell in love with it. Now I just can't get enough...  So yes, both men and women could easily wear Tosca.  I for one wouldn’t mind smelling it on a fella…  More about Tosca here...

Intrigued by Tosca from 4711

I came across this vintage Tosca advertisement from 1935 that has me intrigued...  Gotta try some even though the new formula is apparently a little different per some reviewers - less powdery, more masculine.  Also, the cologne underwent a packaging change in 2008 for a more contemporary look.  Read more here and lots of pics of vintage ads...
