Inspiration: Chinese New Year banner

I came across this gorgeous Chinese New Year banner and it has inspired me to look at the possibilities of dressing this week for the Chinese New Year celebrations...

 seeing the plum blossoms above, I have to start the outfit with this plum blossom tee t shirt...

I wanna team it with this cheerful spotted red and white polka dot skirt...

but most simply, this charcoal jumper...

a skinny red belt around the jumper to cinch it in...

red beret for warmth...

but these red plum blossom pants would be more fun...

 this red plum blossom jacket might be too much to wear as a suit, so...

 this double breasted red trench coat with the slacks would look better...

over the right lapel, this French rooster brooch...

these red angular sunglasses...

black and red holo nails...

Going tropical!

nothing says tropical like a cute little flamingo dress...

see what I mean, just blowin' in the breeze...

 and I love the blush pink background with the cocktail sauce pink flamingos...

 loving the full, flounced skirt, though the top portion looks flat-chested...

so at least the skirt portion will be adjustable into a skirt that fits!

and the dress in action with a blush pink cardigan and accessories...

 could even be topped off with this peach / coral pink trench coat...
