Jazz Oxfords, Wingtips, Saddle Shoes & Spectators...

There's no denying that oxfords are all the rage this season and I have not been spared from this raging and lusting after them...
looking forever for woven leather oxfords, finally found these Auditions Pilot oxfords...
but they were too "square" so I added black squares, harlequin style...
these perforated biscuit / nude oxford wingtip shoes are neutral too but chic...
and these Trotters Lila basketweave oxford shoes in bronze / pewter...
timeless, classic styling...
they are a narrow but fit extremely well!
dark pewter / gunmetal jazz oxfords with grosgrain ribbon laces...
these are unmistakably your "saddle shoes" but they're also wingtips! They'll go with anything in grey, black and white / cream or even beige...they're sort of a neutral...
these are so reminiscent of the 80's oxfords, I had some 18 pairs over the years...these are shown with genuine gossamer like shoe laces from way back in the 80's...

Mauve and Madonna

this off-white Indonesian retro skirt that I thrifted for $2.25 with cutout details, is just like the Indonesian clothing that we used to get in the 1980's. It was looking a bit tired - so I dyed it mauve or lilac pink and now wear it with my mauve lariat necklace... and here's the lilac rosary lariat necklace close up...graced by the original Madonna...
yes, I know that Madonna (Ciccone) made the rosary-as-accessory famous but here's Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino with his star lariat rosary type necklace...adore his style...oh and his six-pack abs! ;-)
and hey The Situation, I'll buy your book - can't wait to find it at a local thrift store baby...
I would team the mauve skirt with this pretty pink butterfly tee...
this Color Club nail polish in Right On...
these Miista purple holographic shoes...
and these pink hightops...
these pretty lilac pink mirror lens sunglasses...
or these lilac / lavender framed sunglasses / sunnies...

But wait - here's Madonna with Rosanna Arquette in a promo shot for the movie "Desperately Seeking Susan" and they're both sporting MAUVE lipstick!!!

Pistachio Pleasures

this sweater I created with some wild hand knitting, reminds me of pistachio nougat or a Sicilian cassata. Yup, yup, yup, I've got a sweet tooth which I'm indulging non-calorically. Oooh, that sounds smutty. ;-D
oh yes, this cassata looks sinfully good...just happens to look like my sweater!!!
yes, just looking at this pistachio cropped cardi I made with my very own mits, makes me want to perpetually pop pistachios!!! yummo...
oh, and I fully support the California Pistachio Growers...keep growing them please...
I can see myself adding some rhinestone bling to the cardi tho'...
so I added the bling...
and I may add more...

Argyle patch details save boots!

or will the Indian Blanket Skirt in the previous post go with these redesigned boots? What the heck are they? These boots began peeling, so I took off all the faux leather that I could and then I added black leather argyle patches and secured them with red embroidery thread...yes, I know!!! But I'm into all that fussin' hehe...

Argyles and Indian Blankets

I got these argyle socks and realized that this Indian Blanket printed fabric I had forever, and just turned into a skirt, goes perfectly well with ANY of them! Ha - who knew???
isn't it amazing how the two most unlikely things can pair just perfectly together?

Retro Prints

a floral printed denim material that I've had from the early 90's, it's now a flowy skirt. Should I make it shorter? Shown here with a scarf I made out of a crinkly upholstry material...

which could be casually topped with this blush pink / peach / nude sweatshirt...
even this pale blush pink cropped sweatshirt...
or topped off with this coral pink trench coat...
this blush roses necklace...
these peach wayfarer sunglasses...
and these blush pink kitten heel pumps...
and these rose gold fisherman sandals...
but certainly these nude / blush pink sneakers...
and this blush pink messenger bag...
wowowow...this is some really retro print that's so very 1950's-ish, corals, blues, pink, teal...it's got it all...makes an interesting loooooooong flowy skirt...hey, I'm an old lady now, so the skirts get longer! ;-)
interesting... this primarily blue and orange skirt has a kind of very retro 1950s-ish pattern? They used to make curtains out of material like this in the 1950s I think... These skirts would look great with denim shirts.

and top it off with this coral orange denim jacket...
and with this one this amber roses necklace...
these coral mules...
and thise peach pink oxford shoes...
loving the retro vibes...

Passionate About Purple

Does anyone remember the fruity prints of the 1980's? I had this remnant in my stash of fabrics from like waaaaaaaay back and thought it was time I used it, so here, the best usage for smallish piece of fabric was a simple skirt just below the knee...no fuss no muss...paired with simple tees and tops...

this heathered lavender tee...
to be teamed with these purple Salt Water sandals...
got the right idea!

everyone's gotta have at least one prairie skirt with an eyelet lace trim, and here's mine I put together with some lace I had left over and a lovely lavender calico print...
these cool lavender shades...
Madras plaid in shades of purple -- lilac, violet and lavender, with touches of red and a gold thread - so 1980's, having the gold thread going through it. The carved silver heart lariat necklace I made over a decade ago goes quite well too...

this lavender sweatshirt...

Okay, I had the "knitting urge" all over again and whipped out this jumper with bits of wool I had left...I don't waste anything, if you know me! Everything gets used or reworked...
these Miista purple holographic shoes...
this violet stretch skirt...
and these violet / eggplant jeans will pair well with this jumper...
and these periwinkle jelly sandals...
to be topped off with something like this funky striped purple flower jasper...
Ahah! This lavender patent pair of sandals are just the thing to pair with all this purple...super! Oh, my new crush...argyle socks...this pair has shades of periwinkle...perfect!

and Iolite / Cordierite...
sublime...
and this NYX Lip Lingerie in Embellishment...
and LA Colors Chic Eyeshadow Palette...
and this LA Colors Lipstick in Sheer Violet...
Great periwinkle blazer on Lauren Hutton...
And Balinese straw duffel bag...
