Mauve and Madonna

this off-white Indonesian retro skirt that I thrifted for $2.25 with cutout details, is just like the Indonesian clothing that we used to get in the 1980's. It was looking a bit tired - so I dyed it mauve or lilac pink and now wear it with my mauve lariat necklace... and here's the lilac rosary lariat necklace close up...graced by the original Madonna...
yes, I know that Madonna (Ciccone) made the rosary-as-accessory famous but here's Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino with his star lariat rosary type necklace...adore his style...oh and his six-pack abs! ;-)
and hey The Situation, I'll buy your book - can't wait to find it at a local thrift store baby...
I would team the mauve skirt with this pretty pink butterfly tee...
this Color Club nail polish in Right On...
these Miista purple holographic shoes...
and these pink hightops...
these pretty lilac pink mirror lens sunglasses...
or these lilac / lavender framed sunglasses / sunnies...

But wait - here's Madonna with Rosanna Arquette in a promo shot for the movie "Desperately Seeking Susan" and they're both sporting MAUVE lipstick!!!

Thrifting...saffrons, yellows, oranges and reds...

just a few ensembles featuring saffrons, yellows, oranges and reds...
a very cute mustard floral skirt
and I love that it has magenta flowers...
gorgeous!
this cognac bag would team well...
loving this bright mustard floral dress...
what a gorgeous print!
loving these mustard floral pants...
this cute mustard yellow waterfall cardigan would team well...
 love the saffron yellow hue...
this mustard / goldenrod tee isn't bad either...
perhaps this bright saffron tee...
and this goldenrod maxi skirt...
I also like the goldenrod golden yellow of this daisy print dress...
a very vintage looking print...
this saffron scarf...
this very Provençale like yellow, white and blue floral skirt...
with which I created a blue / white / yellow ensemble with a navy knit shrug and bandana...

the provencal print yellow skirt would also team well with a yellow denim jacket like this one...
a gorgeous .99 cent bandana apparently made for the skirt it's being paired with!

and this really cute navy blue crochet flat would go with it perfectly!

and these these Midnight Magic glitterpuss shoes for instant glam...
A multi-color medical uniform, also known as a "scrub," paired with yellow and orange belts and a multi-color necklace...
the scrub around 2.50, the belts are under 2.50 each and the necklace bought on clearance for around a dollar!
a saffron yellow shirt bought for 2.20 at a fave thrift store, paired with a crimson patent leather belt(Calvin Kline!) 2.50 with homemade head band!
headband/scarf and patent leather belt detail...
a buttery yellow knit top, homemade scarf and teal/turquoise snakeskin belt-thrifted!
amazing just how well this teal belt goes with the necklace I made...

these blonde tortoiseshell sunglasses...
this lemongrass yellow satchel...
a bright yellow shopping bag-going green!
other yellow, blue white tidbits, and bags including the Clinic bag in a golden marigold/sage/white and Estee Lauder's golden disco bag!

and it all goes well with this lemon yellow jade...
this saffron coloured amber necklace...
 this rustic yellow jasper strand...
 and this yellow aventurine...
looks like honey!

It's All About the TEAL...

TEAL WARDROBE REMIX...
the daisy print chiffon skirt is A-line and flirty...
with tiny cream spots between the slate blue daisies...
and I want to throw in this peacock blue slinky skirt

I have it shown with a slinky teal tank but this ribbed teal tee would be great too..

I also want to team the skirt with this seafoam denim jacket...

these mint marble sunglasses...
or perhaps these cool teal sunglasses...
teal and turquoise memory wire bracelet I made, of course...
peacock and metallic teal bead earrings I pieced together...
Teal Art Deco Brooch, which holds a pic-I think one of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers would suffice!

and these cute Chrysocolla beads...
and the look began with these teal boots bought on clearance...
These teal sunglasses
These teal and tangerine sunglasses
Teal jelly sandals and tiger crossbody bag

MY TEAL WISH LIST:

a luscious teal fur vest...
and wilder still, this little teal fur jacket...
a sizeable silk flower to turn into a pin, like this silk peone...

a yummy TEAL BERET!
simply gawgeous teal floral cardi by Ann Taylor...

Vintage Dresses...
